My dad’s grandfather was a sheepherder who worked with leather as he cared for his lambs in the high mountains. He created saddles of stunning beauty & utility that are used by his grandchildren to this day. My Mom’s grandfather was a miner in Montana who utilized the new industrial technology to extract copper from the earth. His library was filled with samples of unusual rocks and minerals. My creative bent reflects Grandpa Hanna’s love of industrial machines. I enjoy rediscovering their secrets and making them useful again for a new generation. As Grandpa Heaton created items that lasted for generations, so everything produced by Concrete Shop West is designed and built for increased beauty over time.
